Stephanie Garrison, director of government relations, told the board that a 12-person team from the state Chief Financial Officer’s office visited Manatee County and staff produced roughly 20,000 documents and same‑day follow-up items for the review. "I think that speaks to the records we keep and how we are diligently following Florida's statute," she said.
Earlier in the meeting the board handled its consent agenda. Administrator read multiple items including denial resolutions (R25139 and R25136) and adoption of development fee schedule R25135 and a determination of consistency review for a proposed 39‑acre school site. Commissioner Ballard moved to approve the consent agenda with a second by Commissioner Sadiq; the chair recorded the motion as carrying with no dissent.
The meeting also included multiple citizen comments thanking staff for assistance on a daycare approval and raising future land‑use concerns.
