He said he plans to question the bill's specificity.
Don also warned that voucher programs and ed‑choice funding shifts reduce state support for public schools, creating more reliance on local property taxes to maintain services.
The superintendent and treasurer referenced federal- and state-level materials (including a U.S. Department of Education webinar) the board received for review; the board did not take any formal legislative positions at the meeting.
