The Enforcement Committee unanimously recommended that the full board consider staff’s updated business‑entity report (VERB) form that adds a checkbox and explanatory language about "management control." Jasmine said the form and an informational bulletin are live on the board website and will be promoted in the board newsletter.
The update is intended to improve transparency about which individuals exercise management control in entities that advertise architectural services and to support enforcement when advertising or business‑formation issues arise. Jasmine summarized the change: the form now includes a checkbox for licensees to indicate management control and an embedded definition of that term, along with links to the relevant code sections.
A motion to "approve the staff report and the strategic plan objective and recommend placing the item on a future board agenda" was moved and seconded and passed by roll call with all present members voting aye. The committee recorded the vote as unanimous.
Staff said the update was implemented administratively without new legislation and that the informational bulletin and form (with a 2026 date on the bulletin) will be uploaded to the board’s portal and included with license-renewal materials so licensees encounter the updated disclosure during renewal.
