The Ward 1 Neighborhood Advisory Board on Feb. 9 approved the meeting agenda and the January minutes by voice vote and handled routine board business before adjourning.
A motion to approve the agenda was moved and carried by unanimous voice vote. Shonda Golden moved to approve the January minutes; Sunny Allen seconded and the board approved the minutes by voice vote. At the end of the meeting Sean DeGarden moved to adjourn, and the motion carried unanimously.
Staff provided liaison updates including four current vacancies on the board (two alternate member vacancies), reminders about finding agendas and attachments on reno.gov, and an upcoming RPD town-hall series (the first scheduled at North Valleys High School, doors open at 5 p.m.; event runs 6'7:30 p.m.). The board asked staff to invite the Clean and Safe division to a future meeting so members could better understand protocols for homeless encampments and interagency handoffs.
Board members also flagged future agenda items, including a budget presentation anticipated at the next meeting and follow-up on downtown parking.
