After extensive public comment and board deliberations, the board directed the Auditor to conduct additional review, asked for monthly administrative updates on overtime for the next six months, requested a comparative review of the other highest overtime departments by Aug. 1, and instructed staff to analyze the Board’s authority under Assembly Bill 1185 to establish an inspector general (IG) for fiscal and administrative oversight.
