The Garrett County Board of Education approved a consent agenda, recessed to an executive session to discuss personnel and to receive legal advice, and after returning to public session completed routine business before adjourning.
At the start of the meeting Vice Chair Ronnie Glaftaugherty read the statutory reasons under Section 3 3 0 5 b of the Maryland Annotated Code for going into a closed session (personnel matters and attorney‑client legal advice). The board moved and seconded to recess to executive session; that motion was adopted.
After returning, a motion to approve the consent agenda was made and seconded; members responded "Aye" and the consent agenda passed by voice vote. The board took no final action on policy items presented for first reading. At the end of the meeting the board moved to adjourn and members voted to adjourn.
No roll‑call vote tallies or the full list of individual member votes were recorded in the public transcript; votes are recorded in meeting minutes and official records.
