Council approves County 6 name change and Bucks Sports Grill license transfer

The Rawlins City Council on Jan. 6 approved two liquor‑license items: a legal‑name change for County 6 Bar and Grill's retail liquor license and a transfer of a parked retail license for Bucks Sports Grill to a downtown suite.

After a brief clerical clarification over which license number applied, the council voted to approve A and D Martinez Management LLC doing business as County 6 Bar and Grill to change its legal name to C6 Enterprises LLC on retail liquor license number 86 for the location shown in council materials (609 Locust Street). The clerk reported the online vote as passing (clerk phrasing: "The motion passes with 7 nays").

Separately, council approved What the Buck LLC (dba Bucks Sports Grill) to transfer parked retail liquor license number 83 from its parked location at 401 West Cedar Street to 1111 Daley Street, Suite 1, effective Jan. 7, 2026 through no later than Nov. 19, 2026. City counsel advised that the application met the liquor division's placement parameters and that the proposed premises were lawfully zoned and compliant with other requirements; the clerk reported that motion passed with 7 ayes.

Council member Sanger asked whether a parked license has to be held in a specific place; city counsel said that parameters exist but confirmed the current application met them and that the placement was acceptable to the liquor division. Council discussion focused on compliance with zoning and inventory separation requirements; counsel noted the applicant's arrangements segregate alcohol inventory within the leased space.

Both items were approved without additional conditions by the city council at the meeting.
