At its November meeting the Cameron Parish Police Jury approved a series of routine and substantive motions.
Among the actions the jury took: it adopted October 2025 meeting minutes and approved agenda add-ons and permits taken en bloc. The jury approved several appointments including Jackie Gray to the library board and Dolores Woolery to the Johnson Bayou Recreation District Board. The jury authorized a 90-day contract extension (change order) for the Mermentau Inundation Relief Project due to a Louisiana DOTD Highway 82 overlay, granted the president authority to sign Resolution 12-23 honoring the ship channel and Resolution 12-24 opposing sale of water from the Toledo Bend Reservoir, and certified compliance for participation in the Louisiana DOT off-system bridge program.
The jury authorized a special tax election in Ambulance District No. 2 (described in discussion as a renewal to bring new service areas into the district), approved advertising an RFP for private-property debris removal, accepted monthly financial statements and budget-to-actual comparisons, approved bills to be paid, and moved into and out of executive session for legal matters (no hurricane litigation action taken). The jury later reappointed Randall McFadden to Ambulance District No. 2 and adjourned.
