So help me God." Afterward she thanked jurors and added, "I stand before you today deeply honored and grateful to accept the appointment ... I pledge to carry it out professionally, accountably, and with a deep respect for the voice of every voter in our parish."
The appointment and oath conclude the formal handover; the jury did not record any additional conditions on the appointment in the meeting minutes. Saltzman’s role places her responsible for running voter registration and certain local election administration tasks for Cameron Parish.
The jury’s next regular meeting is expected to revisit other agenda items already set for future action; no further procedural steps for the registrar were listed during the Aug. 4 session.
