The board approved contracts and bonds with Mathey Construction for a county paving overlay project (project FMCO4692893) after staff confirmed the contractor had submitted required bonds and railroad insurance.
A county roads official said the project has a late start date but is anticipated to be one of the first construction projects of the season; with approval the county will sign the contracts online and proceed with scheduling.
Supervisors also reviewed quotes for a three-year rotation of drainage-district herbicide/weed control and authorized brush-control spot treatments for county roads; motions to approve related management plans and contract quotes were made and carried by voice vote.
An update on DD 11 Sub 1 said the drainage tile is operational and that remaining tasks are finishing the spoil leveling, ditch seeding and installing pipe outlets; staff said final work will resume when weather allows.
What happens next: staff will finalize and sign the Mathey Construction contract online, schedule paving work, execute the approved drainage/brush-control contracts and monitor completion of the DD 11 Sub 1 finish work.
