The McHenry County Board of Health approved multiple routine governance items during its February meeting in Woodstock, including allowing a member to participate remotely and adopting the consent agenda by roll call.
The meeting opened with Chair announcing a motion by "mister Parkinson," seconded by "miss Gaffney," to permit Dr. Erfan Hafeez to participate by video; the board approved the motion by voice vote. The board then moved to approve the regular meeting minutes for Jan. 12, 2026, on a motion by Miss Carmen that passed by voice vote.
Doctor Hansler moved to accept the consent agenda as presented. The board conducted a roll-call vote on the consent agenda because it included monetary items. When asked, Doctor Amselor, Miss Zeltoff, Miss Boston, Doctor Hobbes, Miss Hollyfield, Doctor Katz, Miss Gaffney, Doctor Zurich, Mister Markerson, Miss Carmen and Mister Clark each responded "Yes," and the chair declared the motion passed.
The board also considered 2026 committee assignments, noting the replacement of Dr. Hafiz with Dr. Maguire on the personnel committee. Miss Gaffney moved to approve the amended committee assignments; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote.
Other procedural business completed before adjournment included a brief motion to adjourn moved by Miss Alto and seconded by Miss Lawson; the board voted aye and adjourned.
Votes at a glance: remote participation (motion approved by voice); minutes approval (voice vote, approved); proclamation honoring Dr. Kristen McGuire (voice vote, approved); consent agenda (roll-call vote, recorded "Yes" from named members, approved); committee assignments (voice vote, approved); adjournment (voice vote, approved).
