Budget committee approves minutes, hears resignations and sets recruitment and meeting dates

The Clackamas County Budget Committee unanimously approved minutes from its Dec. 9, 2025 meeting in a 6–0 vote.
Staff announced member Jan Lee has resigned because of time commitments and asked the committee to sign a thank-you letter; the committee directed staff to draft the letter. Staff also reported two public-member terms (Wendy Rader and Kenny Cernak) expire June 26 and said it will contact them about whether they want to continue; the committee asked staff to report back before opening broader recruitment.
Staff said the committee’s next regular meeting is April 14, 2026, and that the budget week is scheduled for May 26–29, 2026. A separate sheriff's office finance work group will be formed and staff will present membership details for appointment.
