County staff give updates on bridge, signal and local maintenance projects

Progress was reported on the 65th South bridge replacement: “They are due to 4 of the walls on the 65th South Bridge replacement project tomorrow… they are making good progress on that bridge. The walls are very substantial.” Staff said the design was modified before bid to accommodate a future five-lane arterial, making the new bridge wider than the old structure.
A local maintenance request was raised by Unidentified Speaker 1 seeking a small asphalt fill around an asphalt ramp in a park entrance; Unidentified Speaker 2 agreed to inspect and coordinate the patch crew. The meeting also included coordination about accommodating trucks and equipment related to a shooting-range facility and working with the fire department for safety and staging.
