The Liberty Hill City Council adopted a corporate authorization resolution to update authorized signers on the city's Classic Bank depository accounts, removing the former city secretary and the mayor and adding the city manager, deputy city manager, finance director and accounting supervisors.
Staff said the change reflects the city's transition from a general law city to a home-rule city and standardizes signatory authority consistent with current practice. Council moved and approved the resolution 6-0.
Following an executive session under Texas Government Code §551.071, council reconvened and ratified engagement letters with AL Law Group and Sheets & Crossfield to provide special counsel services for ongoing cases and other matters; that ratification also passed 6-0.
Council then adjourned the meeting at 7:47 p.m.
