"We plan to primarily use this as a secondary residence," Gerber said, noting the property has a large driveway that he said fits more than four cars and that he had mailed neighbors to invite feedback.
Commissioners asked whether the applicants had seen staff’s list of conditions and how enforcement would work. Staff confirmed the standard set of conditions is part of the conditional use permit; if conditions are violated the matter could be sent back to the Board of Supervisors for possible revocation. Stewart and other staff told the commission they had not received written objections from neighbors.
A commissioner moved to recommend the Board of Supervisors approve the Gerber conditional use permit, citing the administrative record and public hearing testimony; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote. The Board of Supervisors will schedule a public hearing and make the final decision.
