Applicant Marzia Mirza Salahi told the board she has operated the home daycare since 2019 for children aged roughly 3 months to 5 years; she said she employs two assistants, has confirmed permission from the homeowners association to use the nearby playground, and described staggered drop‑off and pick‑up windows to avoid parking congestion. A nearby resident said he feared additional traffic on Gatwick Square and expressed safety concerns; the applicant and several supervisors said staggered arrival and limited daily increases (three additional children spread across morning and evening windows) were unlikely to materially increase traffic.
Supervisor Turner moved to approve LEHI20250009 / SPEX20250015 for Sweet Tweet Home Daycare subject to the conditions of approval dated Oct. 8, 2025. The motion was seconded and the board approved the special exception (vote recorded in the hearing as 9‑0). Supervisors noted county demand for childcare and encouraged the applicant.
The approval is subject to the recorded conditions referenced in the staff report; staff will monitor compliance with the playground designation and pick‑up/drop‑off timing.
