Council voted unanimously to approve an access-maintenance agreement allowing DN Tanks LLC to use 2.89 miles of municipal roadway for construction related to MAWC’s new water storage tank on Lines Run Road.
Chief Administrator Michael described the request: DN Tanks anticipates 132 truck trips over the life of the project and posted a bond of $36,125 to cover potential road maintenance. Engineering staff reviewed the route (0.66 miles of Pleasant Valley Road, 0.06 miles of Lyons Run Road, 1.65 miles of Klein Hollow, 0.21 miles of Hills Church Road and 0.31 miles of Silvis Road) and recommended approval. The council moved, seconded and approved the agreement.
No timeline for the work was specified at the meeting; Michael said staff would follow up with project details if needed and that engineering did not identify immediate concerns with the proposed access route. The motion passed unanimously.
