Palmyra authorizes notices of intent to award pump-station contracts totaling about $1.78 million

Palmyra Borough Council authorized the borough engineer to issue notices of intent to award contracts for the relocation and replacement of sewer pump station No. 3 at its Feb. 10 meeting.
Staff presented low bidders: Contract 2025-01 (general construction) to PSI Pumping Solutions Inc., $624,500; and Contract 2025-02 (electrical construction) to Electrotech Services LLC, $1,150,700. Council was told these expenditures will be paid from the borough’s special sewer fund rather than the regular sewer fund.
Council members indicated the property owner where the pump station sits has agreed to a new agreement with the borough and that the borough will finalize contractual terms with the owner's attorneys and the borough solicitor before formal award. The council moved and seconded authorization for the engineer to issue notices of intent to award and approved the motion by voice vote.
Next steps: staff will work with bidders’ attorneys and the borough solicitor to finalize agreements and proceed to formal contract award consistent with procurement procedures.
