Principal reports: Daniel Edmonds, TCMS principal, highlighted concerts, a spelling‑bee with roughly 11 finalists, expanded arts participation, BOCES visits about emerging technology, student volunteer projects, and upcoming fifth-grade orientation and digital safety presentations. Dr. Hall reported on alumni events, DECA participation and successes, music-department innovations and the Aspire alternative program’s community service donations. Principal Tappan discussed primary-school events, a memorial for a kindergarten assistant, civil-rights curriculum work, and upcoming kindergarten orientation sessions, including a session for preschool students receiving services.
Policy work: The board read three policies for first reading—Policy 1640 (bylaws, absentee ballots), Policy 5683 (non-instructional business operations; fire and emergency drills) and Policy 7554 (students; equal education opportunities)—noting the revisions respond to regulatory changes. These were first reads only; no second‑read or adoption vote was recorded.
