For Nowhere Lounge, applicant Michael Robery told council members the business secured nine off-street parking spaces behind the building and will use towing services and ride-share incentives to reduce curb parking pressure.
The council also approved several rezones and a special-use permit (items 14–18) after planning staff recommended approval, and passed ordinances levying special taxes and assessments for multiple Business Improvement Districts (Benson, Blackstone, Dundee, Elkhorn, Little Bohemia, North 24th Street, North Saddle Creek and South Omaha) following Parks Department amendments. Most of those votes were unanimous or near-unanimous by roll call.
The council laid over Item 10 (a liquor license for Hyderabad House Biryani Place) to a later meeting when the applicant was not present, and the council scheduled postponement of second- and third-reading hearings for items 64 and 65 to March dates per staff request.
