Board sets March public hearings for DD 41 and DD 111 annexation and reclassification reports

Winnebago County supervisors voted to set public hearings for two drainage district annexation and reclassification reports during their regular meeting.
Staff presented maps, contour analyses and recommended lateral repair schedules for DD 41 and DD 111. For DD 41, staff said the report includes four parcels and noted one 40‑acre parcel that had been omitted from earlier classifications; the board was told the parcel likely was missed in older records and needs to be reentered so that its owners contribute to district costs. For DD 111, staff described consolidated schedules for several very small lots and explained why separate schedules were not economical.
A supervisor moved to set the DD 41 hearing for March 24 at 9:02 a.m.; another member seconded the motion and the board approved it by voice vote. Later the board set the DD 111 hearing for March 24 at 9:10 a.m. after a motion and second and a voice vote.
Staff committed to distribute signed reports and post hearing notices on the county website. They also noted that DD 61 is a trustee district that will meet earlier on the same day (8:30 a.m.) and that consultant Jacobson Westergaard handled the petition work for at least one district.
The hearings will give landowners an opportunity to review proposed reclassifications, schedules and cost allocations before the board takes any further action.
