Little Rock City board approves litigation settlement and ratifies Alvin Pierre to housing authority

The Little Rock City Board of Directors voted by voice to approve a consent agenda that included a settlement in David Maddox et al v. City of Little Rock et al and the ratification of Alvin Pierre to the Little Rock Housing Authority Board.

Alvin Pierre addressed the board before the vote. "As stated, I'm Alvin Pierre. I'm a 27 year USDA employee. I am a 13 year farmer in Lee County. The clerk had read the consent agenda to include a resolution to settle litigation and to repeal Little Rock resolution number 16,961 (02/03/2026), and a resolution to ratify the housing authority appointment. After Pierre's remarks the presiding official called for the vote; members answered by voice and the presiding official declared, "Ayes have it."
