Unidentified Speaker 1 reported that a notice to proceed for a rail vault had been issued about a week earlier and that contractors have 120 days to complete the vault and tie piping to bring a second well online, which the speaker estimated could be ready around mid‑May. The additional well is intended to supplement water supplies as council members expressed concern that local springs "are not gonna run at all this year." (Unidentified Speaker 1).
Council members discussed Skyline Mine, noting the mine was idled for 18 months but the town continued to haul sewer during that time; current hauling volumes are uncertain but appear likely to be comparable to historical levels.
