McGregor council approves parks ordinance, special-use permit, candidates for Bluebonnet board and other routine items

The McGregor City Council approved a package of routine and policy items at its Feb. 9 meeting, including a parks ordinance aimed at protecting new courts, a special-use permit for an above-ground diesel storage tank, nominations for the Bluebonnet Water Supply Corporation board, membership in the Central Texas Water Alliance, an election order and additions to the city holiday schedule.

Parks ordinance: Cassie, a parks employee, introduced an ordinance intended to protect newly renovated tennis and pickleball courts from damage by wheeled devices (electric scooters, skateboards, etc.) and to authorize parks employees and the city manager to order people off the surface.
