Laredo veterans committee discusses lack of bylaws, awaits city draft

Committee members said they will request the city's draft bylaws once the City Council completes its review and expected to be able to accept and then tweak the city-provided version for local use.
Several members recommended that this committee follow the city's process and that the item be tracked as an action item at a future meeting. No formal adoption or vote on bylaws occurred at this meeting.
The discussion also touched on coordination problems between committees and scheduling conflicts that have affected subcommittee work. Members asked staff to follow up and to provide an update when the City Council and city attorney finalize or release the draft bylaws.
