WELD COUNTY — The Weld County Board of County Commissioners approved a request to extend the deadline to record the map tied to Special Review Permit USR25-0014 (Lemke Family Preserve at Seventies Ranch).
Molly Wright of the Department of Planning Services said the Denver Zoo submitted the extension request; staff recommended extending the deadline to April 22, 2026. USR25-0014 was approved by the Board of County Commissioners on Sept. 24, 2025 for the keeping of exotic animals. Commissioner Jason Maxey moved and Commissioner Kevin Ross seconded the extension request; the board approved unanimously.
No additional conditions or reasons for the delay were stated on the record.
