Weld County approves general warrants, several procurement awards including irrigation maintenance and dispatch chairs

Weld County commissioners on Jan. 26 approved general warrants and several procurement awards across Public Works, Facilities and Public Safety Communications.
On a roll-call vote, the board approved the general warrants with Commissioner Buck, Commissioner Ross, Commissioner Maxey and Commissioner James recording yes votes and Commissioner Lynette Peppler recorded an abstention; the chair noted the record as passing 4–0 with one abstention.
Toby Taylor of Purchasing presented multiple bid results. For Ridge irrigation and drainage maintenance (Bid B250148), Taylor said two proposals were received but one (L and M Enterprises Inc) was nonresponsive; Public Works recommended awarding the contract to TLM Constructor Constructors Inc for $650,585, within a $700,000 budget. Commissioners approved the award.
For trash services (Bid B250153), Purchasing reported that Waste Management submitted the low, responsive bid and Facilities recommended awarding to Waste Management. The packet lists a monthly price of $4,984.99; however, a later exchange in the meeting recorded a different figure ($2,501.53). The transcript contains both figures; the record should be checked in the official procurement packet for the final contract amount. Commissioners approved the award.
For 24/7-rated ergonomic dispatch chairs (Bid B250155), the procurement committee recommended ErgoGenesis Workplace Solutions LLC with a contract amount of $62,351.85. Commissioners moved to approve and the motion carried on a voice vote.
All three procurement awards were approved during the meeting; commissioners did not receive public comment on these items at this session.
