Weld County honors Jan Warwick as she retires from Clerk to the Board's office

The Weld County Board of County Commissioners on Jan. 12 presented a certificate of achievement to Jan Warwick of the Clerk to the Board's office recognizing her service from Jan. 16, 2020 through Feb. 1, 2026.
Speakers who worked with Warwick described her as approachable, knowledgeable and a source of institutional memory. A colleague identified in the meeting as Esther said Warwick "was very adaptable and transitioned into various needs in the office and just did so with grace" and that staff often referred to her as "mama Jan." A supervisor identified as Chloe told the board that Warwick "brought a new life into us when we needed somebody who was positive."
Commissioners offered personal thanks and best wishes. Commissioner Lynette Peppler said Warwick had been "such a pleasant person to work with" and Commissioner Jason Maxey noted shared connections and praised Warwick's dedication and friendliness.
The board signed the certificate and took a photograph with Warwick and her family; commissioners thanked her for her service and wished her well in retirement.
