Daggett County Commission approves minutes, hears clinic and operations updates

Daggett County commissioners conducted routine business on Feb. 3, approving minutes and hearing project updates before taking a brief recess for a municipal building authority item.
Early in the meeting, the commission moved to recess into and out of the county redevelopment agency (RDA) meeting. The presiding speaker asked for a motion; a motion and a second were made and the item passed with unanimous "Aye" responses from those present.
The commission then moved to approve the minutes from the Jan. 27 Daggett County Commission and RDA meeting. An unidentified speaker (S3) moved to approve the minutes and S6 seconded; the motion passed without dissent.
On infrastructure updates, an unidentified speaker (S3) reported that the new clinic has been connected to the water line, contractors are working to bring water into the building and the electrical connection has started. "They're working on getting water into the building... and they're starting on the electrical connection. Should be completed this week," S3 said.
Airport and operations items were also discussed: an operations and maintenance manual for the Manila airport was submitted for review and staff were asked to provide feedback. Staff and commissioners discussed technical approvals (referred to as the Black Cat item) and agreed to help complete online approvals once internet issues are resolved.
The commission noted a 10:00 a.m. blueprint presentation on the agenda and discussed an 11:00 scheduling conflict involving Craig Smith; the chair called a short recess at 9:31 a.m. so the municipal building authority meeting could proceed.
No new ordinances or budget actions were adopted during the meeting; the items described above were recorded as updates, coordination tasks and routine approvals.
