Votes at a glance: Weld County board approves routine contracts, single-source furniture designation and several appointments

The Weld County Board of Commissioners completed routine business on Nov. 5, approving a slate of motions that included the consent agenda, general warrants, contract adjustments, a single-source procurement designation, and several appointments.

Consent agenda and general warrants: The board approved the consent agenda and general warrants by unanimous voice vote after Commissioner Jason Maxey moved and colleagues seconded the motions.

QUEST grant closeout (Contract ID 10026): Tammy Grant said the QUEST dislocated worker funds included two pots totaling $220,000 (an increase from a previously stated $200,000) after Weld County accepted additional funds other counties could not spend. The board voted to approve resubmitting the grant closeout packet; Commissioner Kevin Ross moved the motion.

Single-source furniture designation: Toby Taylor of Purchasing recommended continuing a single-source designation for Haworth systems furniture (the manufacturer's regional representative is Merchants and Company) and using U.S. General Services Administration pricing for purchases and services. Given annual expenditures over $50,000, the board approved the resolution (moved by Commissioner Ross, second by Commissioner Peppler).

Appointments and reappointments: The board approved reappointments to the Community Development Block Grant Advisory Committee (CDBGAC), reassignment/reappointments to the Juvenile Community Review Board, appointed Fred Kaiser to the Weld County Fair Board (the transcript later refers to the appointee as "Fred Meyer" in the minutes), and appointed Melissa Jensen to the Workforce Development Board.
