The Delaware County Drainage Board approved an hourly task order with Lochmuller Group Wednesday to restart engineering work on a previously tabled creek reconstruction, authorizing study services not to exceed $49,200.
Lochmuller project manager Angie Moyer told the board the task order covers a kickoff meeting and site visit, review of existing data, delineation of drainage areas, hydraulic modeling, two alternatives with exhibits and preliminary cost estimates, identification of potential utility conflicts, a drainage reconstruction report, permitting summaries and a topographical survey. “This is an hourly task order, not to exceed 49,200,” Moyer said.
Board members pressed Lochmuller staff on the technical limits and schedule. Senior engineer Aaron Winger and area manager Anthony Goodnight said watershed delineation would extend beyond the red area shown on the meeting map and that the consultant’s goal is to provide a draft report about 45 days after notice to proceed. Moyer confirmed that services explicitly excluded from this initial task order could be provided later as separate work orders if the board requests construction-phase support such as shop-drawing review, construction administration, inspection and as-built surveys.
The motion to approve the task order was made after the board removed the item from the table; the board then conducted a roll-call vote and approved the task order. No construction contract was authorized at the meeting; the task order authorizes engineering and design work only.
