"It's a blanket bond," a staff member explained, and council members agreed it has saved taxpayer money in the past.
After approving the resolution by voice vote, council members heard committee reports and multiple statements of thanks for the county’s emergency response to the recent hurricane. Near the end of the meeting, the council moved, seconded and voted to enter executive session to receive legal advice on a proposed revision to an agreement with Air SAB Windfall Group LLC concerning FLC properties and to discuss personnel matters regarding emergency services and vehicle replacement options.
The council did not disclose details of the proposed contract revision or personnel discussion in open session; minutes show only that the motion to enter executive session carried by voice vote.
