Utility announces resumption of fluoride at recommended levels; board says it's an interim solution

Zager described the current arrangement as a temporary system; she said the permanent approach is slated to be addressed as part of the next rate case.
Board members thanked staff for the transparency and the work that produced a sustainable interim solution. No new board action or vote was required for the announcement; the item was presented so the public and board would be informed of the status change.
The utility did not provide a precise date when inconsistent dosing began beyond saying it had been inconsistent since 2019, nor did staff state a date for when a permanent system will be implemented; those matters will be addressed in the rate-case process.
