The Aurora City Council on Feb. 10 approved its consent agenda and payment of the city’s bills by unanimous vote.
Aldewoman Smith moved to approve the consent agenda in full; Aldewoman Garza seconded. The clerk called the roll and recorded a 12-0 vote in favor. Items listed in the consent agenda included a one-year vehicle rental agreement (with two one-year extension options) for Aurora Police, an ordinance vacating a parking easement for properties in DuPage County, veterinary services contracts for Aurora Animal Care and Control (to multiple providers), and a resolution authorizing a $135,380 contract to complete a comprehensive site investigation at 720 North Broadway with required reporting to the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency.
Council also accepted a $360,000 in-kind donation of personal protective equipment from Tynovations intended for city use to prevent disease spread, authorized HVAC improvements at the Development Service Center with a lowest-bid award and contingency, and approved a memorandum of understanding with the Fox Valley Music Foundation for Mundy Park event use in 2026. The clerk also recorded approvals for several routine minutes and closed-session minute releases.
Later in the meeting, Alderman Franco moved and Alderman Garza seconded approval of the bills as presented; the clerk recorded a separate 12-0 roll-call vote approving payments.
