The Commission on Ethics authorized staff to draft a renewal of its call-center contract with ROI Solutions, with staff reporting that representatives are U.S.-based and that the renewal would be drafted within the existing contract cap of $262,416.
Executive Director Gilmader summarized the second year of the program aiding Form 1 filers, saying the call center handled login and filing questions and that the project stayed about $88,953.09 under the contract cap this year. Staff said retaining the same project manager and lead would speed onboarding and could yield additional savings. Commissioners asked whether representatives were U.S.-based; staff confirmed they are and said that had been a contract requirement.
Commissioners also asked whether the same budget cap was necessary given anticipated lower call volume in 2026; staff said the renewal would be drafted with scenarios to avoid exceeding the prior authorization and to realize savings. A motion to authorize drafting the renewal contract was moved and seconded; a roll-call vote passed. The contract will be brought back to the commission later for final approval.
