Council considered several routine and administrative items in the meetings midsection. After a presentation, the council approved Ordinance No. 3,905, reducing the speed limit on Eclipse Boulevard; the ordinance passed by voice vote. The consent agenda (items 6athrough 6d) was adopted in a single motion.
Councilor Denton announced a community input session on Thursday, Feb. 5 at 5:30 p.m. at the Beloit Public Library to collect resident views on qualities desired in a new city manager; staff also provided the public comment email address publiccomment@beloitwi.gov for written submissions.
Staff told the council that the Climate Action Plan will be set over from the Feb. 16 final-action agenda to allow staff time to address concerns and to arrange a council workshop; staff said the community would be informed of any new schedule by the city website and press releases.
The meeting proceeded to closed session on separate matters after these items.
