Emily, a human resources staff member who introduced the award, said Aubrey handles event planning and onboarding and praised her reliability and problem‑solving. “She got her SHRM certification about a year ago,” Emily said, adding that the certification is “a hard test” and noting Aubrey’s knowledge of HR processes.
Chair and commissioners presented Aubrey with a silver star award and posed for photos. Aubrey accepted the honor briefly; commissioners and staff described the recognition as part of an ongoing effort to acknowledge county employees.
The recognition occurred during commissioner comments; no formal action was required. The meeting moved on to the scheduled consent agenda after the presentation.
