Bountiful City Council approved a contract with CivicPlus on Nov. 25 to redesign and host the city website after a multi-proposal procurement process.
Staff described a solicitation that yielded six proposals and said CivicPlus offered the best mix of demonstrated capability and price. Committee members and staff reviewed demos from CivicPlus implementations in other Utah cities and prioritized mobile responsiveness, searchable records (OCR migration for minutes and packets), and features for park reservations and community calendars.
The committee reported a one-time first-year cost of $30,746.40 and an annual maintenance fee of $6,008.91 (a first-year total of $37,006.37); maintenance is subject to a typical annual increase. Implementation timelines were described as generally between 16 and 28 weeks depending on the complexity of data migration.
"We recommend that the city council consider CivicPlus's solution," staff said; the council voted to approve the contract by voice vote and asked for a future staff demonstration once the site is implemented.
