Trustee Jamerson questioned whether the village could buy pumps directly from suppliers to avoid a vendor markup; staff said prior vendor quotes were similar and raised logistics and storage as reasons to use Stringer, but agreed to investigate direct purchase or bulk discounts and report back.
A motion to approve the purchase was made, seconded and passed by roll call (ayes recorded). The expenditure will be funded from existing utilities capital or operating allocations as listed in the meeting packet.
