Inspector General staff to issue RFP to modernize JPOIG and JPECC websites

Summary
IG staff said a draft request for proposals will be published to redesign the offices’ websites, citing an outdated Joomla platform and offering council members a chance to sit on the technical evaluation committee.
During the meeting Kim (speaker 5) told members the IG office has drafted a request for proposals to redesign and develop new websites for both JPOIG and JPECC. She said the current sites were implemented on Joomla under a parish contract with the vendor New Era and that the platform is becoming unsupported.
Kim said the RFP now includes the JPECC website as part of the scope, and the office will assemble a technical evaluation committee to review proposals. She invited the body to designate a member — saying the group could name “mister Sullivan” or another designee — to participate on the committee.
She warned that, without action, the existing website could become unmaintainable and might be taken offline when support ends: "we're getting notices ... the system such as it is cannot be maintained ... your website will go down," she said.
The office said it will formalize and publish the RFP and notify the body when proposals arrive; staff indicated they will name a point person and send committee communications to that designee.
