County to continue operating White Lake Township sewer system under renewed maintenance agreement

Staff described the arrangement as a continuation of services the county has provided for many years and said White Lake’s township board already passed a corresponding resolution and signed the agreement. Commissioners discussed term length and whether a 10‑year renewal was standard; staff confirmed the term matched county practice for similar maintenance contracts.
The committee moved to prompt the vote on the recommended maintenance agreement and the motion carried, with staff and commissioners noting the county’s technical capacity to operate the system and the need to approve the contract to maintain continuity of service.
