The Urbana Park District Board unanimously approved an intergovernmental agreement Jan. 13 to share costs with the Sanitary District for accessibility work at Solomon Farm (Perkins Road site).
Staff reported the Perkins Road site had been restored and is ready for public access except for accessible trails and parking. Under the IGA the Park District will complete installation of accessible trail segments while the Sanitary District will construct the ADA parking area and provide related materials. Staff characterized the agreement as a partnership that accelerates public access to the restored site.
A board member moved to approve the intergovernmental agreement for cost sharing of the Solomon Farm ADA accessible trail and parking area; the motion was seconded and approved by unanimous voice vote.
