The Municipal Code Enforcement Board granted BlueRock Premier Properties an additional 30 days to complete remaining fire‑safety work at 6900 Aruba Avenue.
Fire inspector Cleo Squires told the board that while most violations had been corrected, two items remained out of compliance: fire alarms and fire suppression equipment. “As of 02:00 this afternoon, the property still had 2 violations that are not in compliance,” Squires said. Rob Sylvia, the owner’s representative, reported that sprinkler head replacements and an outstanding manifold replacement for Building 77 were in progress and that contractors were onsite.
A board member moved to give a 30‑day extension until March 11, 2026, to verify and finalize the remaining work; the motion was seconded and passed by voice vote. The board instructed staff to confirm today's reported manifold replacement and alarm work and to report back at the March 11 meeting.
The board noted that if violations recur after compliance, repeat‑violation fines are higher and that staff will treat subsequent offenses accordingly.
