The Ascension Parish Board of Adjustments approved a frontage reduction for a proposed subdivision on Copperhead Road (PZ3863.26) on Feb. 11, allowing Bryan Aguilar’s client to reduce frontage from 100 to 75 feet within a cul‑de‑sac configuration.
Agent Brian Aguilar told the board all affected parcels exceed the acreage requirement—several lots are more than 2 acres, one over 8 acres—and framed the request as a tradeoff: smaller frontage in exchange for larger lot area. “All of these lots are in excess of 2 acres, 1 being over 8 acres,” Aguilar said.
Board members examined proposed maps and noted the configuration was a preliminary layout rather than a finalized plan. Given the unique constraints of the cul‑de‑sac and the large lot sizes, Jake moved to approve the frontage reduction; Bridal seconded and the motion passed.
The vote allows the applicant to proceed with detailed platting and permitting consistent with the revised frontage line and building lines to be set at the new building line.
