Chino Valley alerts residents to primary date change and launches Chino Valley Connected flyer with naming contest

Mayor Tom Armstrong told listeners the state legislature changed the date of the primary election from Aug. 4 to July 21 and urged residents to follow local news so they do not miss the change. "It will now happen on July 21," he said.
Armstrong also reminded residents that town offices will be closed for President's Day, which he identified as the sixteenth (Monday).
The mayor highlighted a new flyer for "Chino Valley Connected" that is available on the town website and outlines features for residents, including reporting street and park issues, watching meetings, viewing agendas, subscribing to notifications and paying utility bills online. "The flyer is on the website. It tells you all the new and improved things you can do going on there," Armstrong said.
As a light community event tied to the flyer, Armstrong announced a naming contest for the antelope head displayed in the flyer, inviting residents to submit names "within reason." He encouraged residents to watch for the contest announcement and to participate when it opens.
