The Florence City Design Review Board voted to approve a 9.75-square-foot sign for a downtown property after a brief public hearing.
An applicant urged the board to approve the new sign, saying it would “dress up the area” and help encourage investment. A board member praised staff for working with the applicant and said the smaller 9.75-square-foot option was “more compatible with what we need to have in our downtown.”
The chair seconded the motion and the board voted in favor. Staff issued the certificate of appropriateness and thanked the applicant for working with staff.
