Public commenters question board transparency and preschool principal announces resignation; motion to accept another resignation fails

Later in the meeting the board considered the resignation of Amber Kittle effective Jan. 14, described in the agenda as due to "extreme extenuating circumstances." A motion to accept that resignation was moved and seconded, but the motion failed; the clerk recorded "Motion failed. All board members voting nay." The meeting record did not detail the board's rationale in open session for that vote.
