Price — During public comment at the Price City Council workshop, a resident said he lives two houses from the Maverick truck stop and has repeatedly seen semis, RVs and travel trailers parked overnight despite prior assurances that overnight parking would not be allowed.
"I've seen RVs there. I've seen travel trailers. I've seen semis," the resident said, asking who enforces the 'no overnight parking' rule. Council members and staff advised documenting occurrences and routing complaints through the city's designated contact, "Nick," or contacting police when immediate enforcement is needed. Staff said Maverick could be cited if it is responsible for a persistent violation, and suggested callers take photos and provide times to aid enforcement.
Council members noted some enforcement depends on private security or the company maintaining restrictions, while the city can assist via citizen complaints and police response. The council did not take formal action during the workshop, but staff said they will continue to field citizen complaints and coordinate with police.
