The Huntington Union Free School District Board of Education voted Feb. 9 to adopt a resolution renaming Jack Abrams STEM Magnet School to Jack Abrams Intermediate School effective July 1, 2026. Administrators told the board that for branding and signage the shortened form “Jack Abrams School” may still be acceptable in some materials, but that the district will file the official name change with the state by the March 1 deadline.
