Grant County Extension reports 2025 outreach, introduces 4‑H leadership team

She reported 48 educational programs and workshops in 2025, 112 youth-development opportunities, 45 volunteer-led events and 11,215 direct producer and family consultations.
Jessica illustrated Extension’s services with practical scenarios (for example, livestock health and food-preservation questions) to show how residents contact Extension for technical help. She introduced the county’s 4‑H officer team — president Bella Lopez and other youth leaders — and highlighted outreach to producers for drought response, herd health, and 4‑H youth development.
Extension outlined prevention, education and capacity-building work that the office provides year-round and asked the commission what priorities they would like Extension to address in the coming year. Staff and commissioners thanked Extension for its programming and invited continued collaboration on county priorities.
